Revelocity Racing to Run NASCAR Busch Series
South Charleston, WV -
Revelocity Racing will be heading to the track with a new driver, new partners, and a new plan to bring NASCAR to West Virginia.
Revelocity Racing formed in 2006 with initial plans to run NASCAR Nextel Cup series with the Car of Tomorrow. After exploring options with other teams, the owners began to survey other options and developed a plan to run a 10 race NASCAR Busch series schedule.
"West Virginia has some of the most passionate NASCAR fans around. The new direction allows us do to exactly what we had originally intended, which was bring NASCAR to West Virginia." Jason Hager, CEO of Revelocity Racing, said.
The team will operate a race shop in Barboursville, WV. The primary car, a 2006 Robert Yates Racing Ford Fusion, and a back-up car from Yates are being prepared for the first race in April at the Nashville Superspeedway.
Revelocity Racing is utilizing a top-notch engine program powered by Roush-Yates. Some of the sponsors for the car are expected to be announced later this week.
"Roush-Yates is one of the premier engine building programs in the sport, and we are very fortunate to be involved with them. I believe it will be one of the keys to the team's success," Hager said. "We're looking forward to forming solid relationships with quality sponsors and giving the fans of this state something to cheer about."
